We are delighted that you have found your way to Zion! We are an diverse, multicultural community of believers; joyfully praising God and lovingly serving our neighbors.
Zion has been a vibrant part of the Ferguson and North St. Louis County communities since 1909. Since then, the faces, names and origins of our people have changed. However, the mission of the church has not changed: living together by God’s Word, we welcome, serve and lead others to Christ.

Position Available Immediately
Zion is looking for a musician to join its congregation as a music director, accompanist, and choir director. Our diverse congregation has a very large repertoire of hymns, and music plays an integral role in our worship. On the first and third Sundays of each month, we use a traditional liturgy and hymns played on our 15 rank Martin Ott 1979 organ with electro-pneumatic action. On second and fourth Sundays, we switch to a more contemporary liturgy with a mixture of songs and hymns led by piano and our Praise Band.
Though our congregation has gotten smaller in recent years, we remain very determined to continue in sharing God’s love with those in our community. In the next few years, there may be opportunities for Zion – and the position of Music Director – to grow.
Accompany one worship service on Sunday mornings and seasonal services.
Accompany at weddings and funerals for additional compensation.
Accompany and direct choir and praise band rehearsals and performances.

Proficient in a variety of musical styles.
Familiarity with use of liturgical settings in worship services.
Negotiable contingent upon training and experience.

Zion CDC has been providing quality childcare in the Ferguson area since 1973. Our purpose is to provide a safe and loving environment in which a child will be stimulated intellectually, challenged physically, nurtured emotionally, prepared socially and guided spiritually. The learning experience is a blend of teacher-led activities and the child’s independent discovery through play.
Pre-school curriculum and child care, before and after school, Summer Camp, and Vacation Bible School accommodate children ages 2-12. Volunteer opportunities may include reading stories, tutoring with after-school children, and many miscellaneous jobs.
